2010 Acton Chinese Culture Day, June 5th at Nara ParkPerformances/Exhibitions/Food/Games/Activities
Acton, MA 01720 (May 9, 2010) --- A festive and colorful Acton Chinese Culture Day will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Nara Park in Acton, Massachusetts. Rain date is June 12th.
Presented by the Town of Acton Recreation Department, the Acton Chinese Language School (ACLS), and the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council (ABCC), the day will feature Chinese performances, art and cultural exhibitions, and a host of food, fun, games and activities - all with a Chinese theme, and geared to appeal to every age and interest.
Some of the more colorful highlights will take place in the park's Ampitheatre area, and will include a professional Dragon Dance/Martial Arts Demonstration/Tai Chi Demonstration and a number of musical and dance events featuring amateur and professional Chinese talent from the local and Greater Boston area.
Also available will be a wide variety of authentic Chinese food from local and area restaurants/tea tasting/all types of Chinese souvenirs/traditional Chinese clothing/Chinese arts/Chinese books, CDs and DVDs/Chinese Bonsai display/Chinese painting and calligraphy exhibitions/Chinese herbs and medicine consultation/an acupuncture tent/all types of Chinese games for children/raffle prizes and Acton Chinese Culture Day T-Shirts.
Area residents are urged to attend, and spend a day immersed in the sights and sounds and smell of China --- and all available only a few short miles from home.
