limit: 20 Restrictions: Entering Grade 5-7
Tuition: $90 Time:
3:50pm - 4:50pm
Class Description:
This is not an instructive class; rather it focuses on techniques of problem solving. This class is intended for students advanced in math who are interested in math competitions. Students are introduced to popular middle school math competitions including the AMC 8 and Mathcounts. Half of each class will consist of doing actual competition questions designed to be suited for the class time, and the other half will discuss these questions, stressing key concepts and problem-solving strategies. Students’ individual strengths and weaknesses will be analyzed and discussed with students/parents. There will be incentives to encourage kids to do well.
