ACLS 2009-2010 Fall Semester
Registration Information
Place: Hallway outside the big cafeteria in R.J Grey Junior High School
For Regular Language Classes: $155(including $5 textbook cost)/student/semester.
For Chinese as Second Language (CSL) Classes: $190 (including $30 book fee and online license fee + $10 activity fee)/student/semester.
For most Culture Programs: $80/student/semester
An student who registers classes after June 14th, 2009 will require $10 late fee for each class registered.
Some cultural programs may require a fee for course materials($10-$20). Please see cultural program descriptions for details.
Clubs (e.g. basketball, ping pong, badminton, ballroom dance, and chorus) require membership fees. ACLS registration system does not include club registration. Please contact club organizers (see ACLS web for their contact info) directly if you want to sign up ACLS clubs.
Starting Spring, 2009, each family, who has child(ren) in language class(es), needs to sign up any one of the available parent duties on-line instead of being assigned through each head parent, or chooses to waive the parent duty by paying $35 to ACLS. For Existing Students:
All language students are usually recommended to register in the class one grade higher than Spring 2009. For example, if John Smith is in Grade 2 now, he should register Grade 3 for Fall 2009. Please based on your preference (recommend your kids to communicate with each other), choose classes. After your on-line registration, you will be restricted from class switching. Pre-K will open primarily for ACLS staff members. However, you can email to registration@acls-ma.org for waiting list
For New Students:
There will be limited seats in Language Classes K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
All Cultural Programs will be open to all students until the class size limit is reached.
For Cultural classes: During on-line registration, if you wish to switch from one to another, please go on-line registration directly to make your changes. Please keep in mind that once you de-select your class, that class is available for others immediately, you may not be able to re-select your original class later. Therefore, please make sure that your target class is available at that very moment before you take any actions.
Class switch or withdraw: All class switches have to be completed prior to the 3rd class of the semester (not including the day having the 3rd class) based on availability. No class switch will be processed on or after the day of 3rd class. If you drop any classes, it is your responsibility to send a withdraw request to registration@acls-ma.org for refund (Please refer to "Withdraw and refund Policy" below).

Please be sure to write student name, registered class name and your family ID in the memo area of your check, and make it payable to: ACLS.
Please mail the "Printable Summary" page along with a check ("Due amount" shown on the summary page) to the ACLS (ACLS address is shown on the page).
Please note: Any checks without a registration "Summary" page attached will not be processed. If you prefer, you may bring them in during the in-person registration session on June 14th, 2009, 2:15 - 4:45 p.m. at RJ Grey Junior High School.

An E-mail withdraw request must be sent to
registration@acls-ma.org with the student's name and the class (s)he wants to withdraw, or come to the admin office for any withdraw requests to be processed.A withdraw request received by the day prior to the first class (not including the day having the first class), a full tuition will be refunded for all language classes and cultural programs.
A withdraw request received by the day prior to the 3rd class (not including the day having the 3rd class), a deduction of $30 from tuition for a language class or $20 for a cultural program will apply to each withdrawn student.
No refund will be issued for any requests received on or after the day of 3rd class.
If a class could be cancelled due to unexpected causes, such as instructor's sickness, weather condition, or special events, etc, and if such cancellations are not more than three times to the same class, no refund will be issued.
For any account balance not received by the 3rd week of classes, 10% of late payment fee will be charged.
