Class Description:

This class is designed for students who have completed CSL6 or equivalent, and wish to continue on Chinese learning. The majority of the class time will be allotted for Chinese speaking and listening while reading and writing will still be part of the class goals. Students will listen to authentic materials in class, practice comprehension, and respond to questions related to daily life situations. By the end of the first semester, students should be able to come up with dialogues incorporating some learned sentence patterns and vocabulary and be able to demonstrate improved Chinese speaking abilities.

Since this is a pilot class, the text book is still to be determined. However, multimedia will be one of the components to be considered when selecting the text book for this class.

It is optional for parents of CSL students to enroll this class.
